We are looking for an innovative and dynamic leader to spearhead our research in sustainability solutions. The successful candidate will work with top AI researchers in NEC in creating innovative solutions to help companies achieve their sustainability goals towards carbon neutrality. This role will also serve as the Thought Leader for research and development of new Sustainability Solutions in NEC Laboratories.
The role will suit a person who has a solid understanding and deep insights on the future trends of technology in areas of sustainability and carbon neutrality, and has a good understanding of AI technologies in areas of machine learning/deep learning. The successful candidate should possess good business acumen, and have excellent communications skills.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide ideas and solutions to help customer achieve carbon goals with NEC technologies
- Spearhead product / solution development to MVP status
- Understand research objectives of laboratory and work with customer to design Proof-of-concept that can fulfill Lab's research objectives and solve customers' issues.
- Manage and commercialize Lab’s Intellectual Property and Solutions
- Experience in an Innovation / Research role in area of Sustainability or has experience in delivering sustainability solutions to customers (internal or external).
- Experience in Product Development, or Research Laboratory environment.
- Experience in Agile Development
- Preferably possess development skills in following:
- Java, C++, Python
- Experience working with Machine Learning / Deep Learning Technologies
- If less than 5 years relevant experience, preferably Masters / PhD in Engineering or Computer Science preferably with thesis on topic of sustainability technologies.
