As researcher of Intelligent Sensing, you will have the following responsibilities and are not limited to work with cross functional team members to research, design, implement and validate cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Combine Video Analytics capabilities with other capabilities from different area such as Time Series Analysis and Optimization algorithm to establish the required solution
- Test, evaluate and enhance Video Analytics technologies that may have been developed by other NEC Labs overseas
- Participate in Proof-Of-Concept/trial projects with customers
- Participate in exhibitions/conferences as exhibitors/presenters
- Find opportunities in the course of work to invent and file patents for CV/VA technologies, and eventually realize them into real workable solutions
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned
- At least a Master in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent, preferably with focus in Computer Vision and Deep Learning technologies
- At least 3-5 years of research experience in Computer Vision and Video Analytics related fields and applying them in industrial applications
- Excellent knowledge in Image/Video Processing and Pattern Recognition techniques and algorithms
- Good knowledge in OpenCV and have experience in developing VA-based applications with it
- Experience in Deep Learning frameworks such as Caffe, Tensor flow and/or PyTorch is a must
- Experience with application development that takes advantage of multiple CPU cores
- Experience with GPU programming like OpenCL/ CUDA
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++ and/or Java
- Good working knowledge with various types of security/surveillance cameras
- A self-starter, with good initiative, commitment and drive
