Act as R&D Software Developer part of applied R&D team responsible in design, develop, testing and maintenance of the next generation of Face Recognition AI software technologies and solution.
Main accountabilities
- Full time software development job to work closely with local & remote R&D team members in NEC Laboratories Singapore.
- Perform hand-on experiment on NEC laboratories technologies that can be applied to business
- Developing new features or enhancement of existing technologies/solution
- Produce detailed written specifications of technology verification, program codes & system design
- Conduct unit/functional testing to ensure high quality of deliverables.
You should meet these requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, equivalent or higher.
- 2-10 years solid experiences in developing web application using HTML5 & RESTful API
- Good Understanding of HTML, Javascript, and RESTful API
- Exposure in face recognition or image processing programming will be an added advantage
- Possess a good command of English & good communication skills.
- Desire to research and discover new technologies & able to work independently with minimum supervision

Technical skills
- Frontend programming skill in HTML 5, JavaScript & CSS
- Backend programming skill in Java or C++/C# or Rust
- Experience in real-time message queue routing development
- Experience in virtual machine, container technologies & network concept for system deployments
- Experience in Shell scripting in Windows & Linux OSes
